As much as we enjoy setting mammoths on fire, there are plenty of new PC games that will more than satisfy your gaming needs. These include new 100-hour Football Manager saves, risky PUBG matches, and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim adventures. You don't want to be the one left out of the loop at this point, do you?

The best new PC games in 2022 are:

Stray

You're in for a treat if you haven't heard of this endearing independent game. Stray is about an adventurous cat that becomes caught in a city inhabited by robots, who must journey through dangers and obstacles, solving puzzles and discovering the mysterious at the centre of the Walled City.

It's a mostly linear journey through various areas of the city, and in good ol' cat fashion, you can even get your head stuck in a paper bag. We gushed about this game in our Stray review, saying, "Stray merges feline mayhem with a classic cyberpunk setting, inviting you to explore its neon dystopia while never taking itself too seriously."

MultiVersus

A number of Game of Thrones characters and even the Scooby-Doo cast are among the excellent list of heroes in this new fighting game, which is presently in open beta and has already established itself as a fan favorite in the genre. Multiversus has a ton of characters that can be unlocked, and we've created a Multiversus tier list to help you get started. Keep a watch out for new Multiversus characters, and employ all of the Multiversus free characters in rotation to save money.

Norco

This point-and-click adventure game places you in the center of the namesake town as you look for your missing brother. It is set in the actual town of Norco, New Orleans. The cerulean landscape obscured by tufts of tarnished grey mist conceals a far larger story. The design is stunning, and the journey is both tranquil and exhilarating, similar to games like Kentucky Route Zero and Beneath a Steel Sky.

The Quarry

In the upcoming Dark Pictures Anthology game, our group of teen counselors is unwittingly disturbed while enjoying their final night at summer camp and is instead thrown into an 80s horror. Jason Voorhees wouldn't look out of place emerging from the shadowy woods, not unlike Supermassive Games' Until Dawn.

As bloodthirsty locals descend and creatures lurk in the surrounding woods, our youngsters must deal with a much greater threat than small-scale disputes among pals. There are nine playable characters, and you can escape from every one of them alive, adding more significance to your decisions and, of course, how rapidly you press the keys.

V Rising

Currently available on Steam Early Access, V Rising is a huge success. It's been compared to the early 2021 release of Valheim, another early access survival game. You and your friends take on the role of feeble vampires in an isometric open-world game who must strengthen themselves by seeking out blood and increasing their worldly familiarity after a protracted hibernation in a coffin. You can play alone, online, with other vampires, or against them while avoiding sunlight and constructing a Dracula-worthy base while slaying all kind of hellish beasts and terrible creatures. Ready to get started? Detailed instructions on how to create a base in V Rising are provided in this comprehensive beginner's guide.

Galactic Civilizations 4

The fourth installment in the 4X series injects a rich, intricate strategy game with a ton of contemporary concepts and forward-thinking design. Choose from one of 18 civilisations—some of which are fan favorites, but there are also many fresh faces—and lead them to fame as they travel the galaxy exploring, expanding, exploiting, and wiping out other civilizations.

Sectors have been added to the galactic map, and Galactic Achievements contribute to the new prestige triumph that allows you to claim ultimate victory without experiencing the typical endgame slump. This space game has a promising beginning, but there is still potential for development. To learn more about what we thought of Stardock's most recent epic, see our Galactic Civilizations IV review.

LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga

You have another opportunity to become lost in George Lucas' blocky Lego-style sci-fi fantasy universe when you watch The Skywalker Saga. However, this isn't just The Complete Saga with The Force Awakens added on; with this installment, you get authentic Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga space travel, which is really cool.

You can play through the previously covered films in any sequence because they have all been redone. As in Manhattan from Lego Marvel Superheroes, you can also explore space. Also, Star Destroyers, which are constructed out of 18 million digital bricks each, can be used for combat and interior exploration.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

As soon as we got our hands on Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, any worries that it would turn out to be a knockoff of Borderlands 4 were allayed. It's "still recognizably Borderlands," according to Phil Iwaniauk in our review of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, "but the feeling of place and improvisation lifts Tiny Tina's Wonderlands above expectations."

Although the game might still use some polish in some areas, it is nonetheless a fantastic installment in the well-liked FPS franchise that avoids recycling tired cliches. If you're a Borderlands fan searching for something similar yet different, you should definitely check it out.

Elden Ring

The sequel to the Dark Souls games by FromSoft is excellent. Elden Ring is not only a masterpiece by its developer's lofty standards, but in squeezing so much density into the Lands Between, it illuminates the route ahead for open-world games generally, as we stated in our Elden Ring review.

With a touch of Souls magic, this complex, sophisticated fantasy game is full of pleasant surprises. Elden Ring will appeal to players who enjoy challenging boss battles and punishing, yet rewarding fighting. The addition of spirit summons, such as poison-spitting jellyfish and skeleton bandits who can aid you fight, makes these encounters fulfilling rather than intimidating. Elden Ring's offering has been improved by the addition of an open world, making each location a treasure trove of trinkets, secrets, and unique weaponry. Players are not only rewarded for their exploration but can also take pleasure in its results, such as finding secret side tasks and being ambushed by fearsome dragons.

Lost Ark

Amazon Game Studios eventually made Smilegate's isometric free MMO available on Western servers, and it promptly broke the Steam peak player records for CS:GO and Dota 2. Granted, some Lost Ark servers' long wait times may have something to do with that statistic, but once you're in, there is an abundance of material for MMO players to dive into as you level up to 50 and beyond.

Combat in Lost Ark is expertly calibrated, and each class has been thoughtfully balanced so that any build can succeed. Additionally, you don't need to worry about using several alt characters to complete the story because the Lost Ark powerpass is accessible as a shortcut once the story has been completed on one character. The MMO is still in its infancy, but as our ongoing Lost Ark review notes, it stands out for its "flashy combat and creative dungeon design."

These are the newest PC games that you ought to be playing right now. Now, we'll admit that when we said that new PC games are always the best, we were being a little sarcastic. You should check out our list for it.
